GETTING A
LIBRARY CARD:
Library cards are
free to residents of Hays County. Out of county residents who
wish to borrow library materials may purchase a card for $7.00. A photo
ID together with verification of current mailing address is required.
We accept a driver’s license, lease agreement, or utility bill as
verification of current mailing address.

DUE DATES, RENEWALS & OVERDUE:
Most book materials may be
borrowed for two weeks at a time. One renewal may be made for and
additional two weeks and may be made in person or over the phone by
calling (512) 268-7411 . The library will charge overdue fees of .05
cents a day for most materials including books and .25 cents a day for
videos and DVD's that are overdue.
Borrowers who owe more than $10.05 in fees may not borrow additional
materials. Overdue reminder notices are sent as a courtesy to our
borrowers.

RESERVING
MATERIALS:
You may place a reserve request
on
items which are currently checked out by other borrowers. A phone call
will
be placed to the person reserving the item when it becomes available
for
your use. (Top)
REVIEWING YOUR PATRON RECORD:
You may review your record of
overdues, reserves and materials checked out by requesting to view such
information at our circulation desk.

INTERLIBRARY
LOAN SERVICE:
If you need materials which are
not available in our library, we will be happy to locate and request
them from another library. At this time there is no fee for this
service.
